Guru Gobind Singh sacrificed his life in Sri Huzur Sahib located in Nanded, Maharashtra on 7 October in 1708. Since then, this day is celebrated as Martyr's Day. However, many unique things are said about his funeral. It is said that the funeral pyre of Guru Gobind Singh Ji was constructed as a hut and Guruji came on the funeral pyre riding on his blue horse.
